Danny Haddad

CEO

Danny began work on the Tiara Hotels & Resorts project as part of his role as Executive Director of Hospitality for Zabeel Investments – the holding company of the new hotel group. Following the successful set up and initiation of the concept he was then promoted to CEO of Tiara Hotels & Resorts in May 2006.

Prior to his appointment at Zabeel Investments, the Lebanon-born Canadian national worked for Fairmont Hotel Dubai as its Sales & Marketing Manager for the GCC and Middle East. When he left Fairmont Hotel Dubai, Danny took with him a wealth of international hotel and hospitality experience. He holds a Bachelor degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management and a Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management from the Glion Hotel School, Switzerland.

Dean Schreiber

Group Director Operations

Dean Schreiber joined Tiara Hotels & Resorts in July 2007 as Group Operations Director. This dynamic Australian hotelier came to the UAE from Singapore, where he spent three years as the Corporate Director of Operations at Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts. During this time, he was responsible for overseeing the operation of the group’s portfolio of 16 properties worldwide.

Prior to joining Pan Pacific Hotels in Singapore, Dean broke the barriers of hotel convention with his hi-tech, technology-driven approach as General Manager at Le Meridien Cyberport in Hong Kong. Never before had the city experienced a hotel that allowed guests to check in from their office or in a taxi. He was at the helm of this cutting-edge property, which quickly became the talk of the town, when it opened in April 2004.

Dean’s pedigree includes being the youngest General Manager in Hong Kong, aged 34 at the Century Harbour View Hotel; reintroducing the Le Meridien brand to Hong Kong after a 20-year absence; and being cited in Time Magazine for his innovative idea of having a live goldfish in the room of any guest checking in alone at the Harbour Plaza hotel where he was General Manager.

Simon Griffiths

Group Director Finance

With more than 20 years experience dealing with finance in the hospitality industry, Simon, as Group Finance Director will be a cornerstone in the senior management team of this new and exciting hotel group.

Simon joins Tiara Hotels & Resorts from Broadwater Hotels & Resorts in Perth, Australia. His previous experience also includes a six-year tenure as Corporate Director of Financial Management for Pan Pacific Hotels & Resorts in Singapore. As well as looking after the company’s financial management activities, Simon also spent three years as its Corporate Director of People Innovation and Education. With 19 properties and 5,000 employees across Asia Pacific and North America to oversee, this dual role was hugely challenging and rewarding for Simon.

A confident and eloquent speaker, Simon has been invited on a number of occasions to give presentations at conferences and functions. Most recently, he was a Keynote Speaker at a conference in Singapore on Corporate Social Responsibility in the Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Industries.

Marco Comensoli

Group Director Development

Tiara Hotels & Resorts's high-flying Group Director Development, Marco Comensoli, moved to Dubai from Milan in November 2006 to take up his position with the hotel group.

Marco's previous position in Milan saw him working as a project manager and trainer for one of Italy's most respected hotel and tourism consulting companies, Advisor.

Marco also brings hands-on experience to this role at Tiara Hotels & Resorts, having worked at a number of international properties including Boca Raton Resort and Club, a Leading Hotel of the World, in Boca Raton, Florida, USA, and Hotel Saratz, a Design hotel, in Pontresina, Switzerland.

Greg Hucker

Group Director Technology

Tiara Hotels & Resorts has appointed Greg Hucker as Group Director of IT. With over 12 years experience in the IT and Telecommunications industry, Greg is more than qualified to take Tiara Hotels & Resorts to the cutting edge of hotel technology.

Greg joins Tiara Hotels & Resorts from Voyages Hotels & Resorts, a leading hotel and resort management company with over 2,000 staff and 26 properties in Australia, where he spent three years as the group's General Manager for IT and Telecommunications. In this role he was directly responsible for providing effective communications and strategic advice on the focus and direction of the group’s IT business, as well as creating and maintaining its operational and capital expenditure.

Greg enjoys travel, and is excited about experiencing his first overseas posting in the Middle East. He comes to Dubai from Australia with his wife.
